APF Group emphasizes its long-term investment in personal finances, real estates, restaurants, and etc. APF Group will carry on its investments despite the economic crisis.

Mr. Mitsuji Konochita, Chairman and CEO of APF Group commenting on the group’s activity in the year 2008 which gave emphasis to the identity and corporate synergy and successfully help the group to excel to where it is today. Its emphasis on human resource development helps strengthening its capability to enjoy the economic upturn. In this year, APF Group hopes to foster new business alliances in Nakorn Ratcha Sima (Korat) through a business meeting forum there.

“Today, we introduce ourselves and the group companies to the people here in Korat together with our expansion of the Group Lease PCL branches. Korat is considered a gateway to ISAN with more than 2.57 million in population second to those of Bangkok. With the right target and an effective management team, Group Lease is operating with strict policy and will not rush to expand the investment portfolio.”

“With APF Group full support, Group Lease Public Company Limited (GL) is showing excellent growth even under this difficult time. Together with experienced management teams, GL enjoyed its successes from minimizing non performing loans.”

This year, APF Group introduces the new CSR project on preserving Thai ancient mural paintings which reflect the art and cultures of Isan people and at the same time provide an opportunity for students in Korat to learn Japanese traditional picture letter style from Japanese artists Ms. Hisae Arai, Mrs. Mitsue Sugiyama and other 2 Japanese artists. Through these activities we hope to give back to the community and maintain good relationships with Thais in Korat. The group also aims to broaden the students’ view of the world so they can be leaders in the future.

APF Group also reveals some of the main criteria for making an investment in any business which are the ability to adapt to the organizational culture, transparent management and apparent growth direction. Our policy in businesses is not to lay off staff but give them more authority and responsibility and work hand in hand to overcome the problems. We are also looking at new business development. Even after the Layman Brothers’ bankruptcy, the group business performance still increases. Although, there hasn’t been much change in the investment portfolio, all the group companies maintain a steady growth at which we do not discriminate against races or genders but empower everybody to work together towards the success of the group.
